Ventimiglia

For a long time border and passage city, it preserves still today the charm proper of the places which saw people from different places flowing. 

Important artists bequeathed notable residences, such asVilla Hanbury, an English traveller that began the construction of a park rich in rare tropical plants. The botanical garden houses thousands of species on around 19 hectares.

Exotic plants of every origin are represented here, officinal plants, century-old olive trees and ancient citrus plantations. The Hanbury botanical gardens are managed by the University of Genoa.
