Exactly in the centre of the gulf you will find La Spezia, chief town of region and second city of Liguria. Walking among the streets next to the sea is a surprise that the town planning is more similar to Turin than to Genoa, but it is sufficient to enter the heart of the historical centre, that the old town appears, also under the mask of continuous transformations.
